CHEO Foundation Dream Home
The Challenge
The Foundation of the Children’s Hospital of Eastern Ontario (CHEO) hosts a dream home lottery each year. This year they really wanted to add a “wow” factor to their dream home and make it a family friendly home where a young hockey players dreams could come true. This all had to be completed in a home that was under construction where coordination with project management and the home builders was key, all while navigating a tight work space that involved basement stairs, unfinished walls, and a heat wave in July.

The Solution
SmartRink synthetic ice offers the excitement of being able to skate inside or outside twelve months of the year. So, they asked us to design and build a SmartRink synthetic ice rink to be that “wow” factor! This rink had everything you could imagine including boards, goalie creases, glass, and a score board!
The Result
With designs for the ultimate Ottawa Senators’ fan, the synthetic ice rink was one of the highlights of this year’s dream home! Having this wow factor brought a lot people into the home, had everyone talking, which resulted in more ticket sales funding their foundation for the CHEO.
