The Venetian – Las Vegas
The Challenge
Where in Vegas could you go both ice skating and enjoy a leisurely gondola canal excursion – all in the same hour? The Venetian wanted to accomplish that very idea, and to do so, they partnered with SmartRink synthetic ice to make it happen!

The Solution
From November 21st through to January 8th, 2012, something very unique took place at The Venetian Las Vegas. A 2100 square foot ice surface was set on top of platform staging which was submerged in their Grand Canal.
The Result
During this time is was reported that many revenue spin-offs occurred in terms of promotional room bookings, meals, drinks, gondola rides, and so forth.
By all accounts the management team were extremely pleased with the ice product and the reception it received. In fact, they spoke of increasing the size of the ice surface for next year.
